Alchemy

“The lips of Wisdom are closed except for the ears of knowledge. "

- The Kybalion.

The Art of Transmutation

MENTAL TRANSMUTATION

“The mind (as well as metals and elements) can be transmuted, from state to state; from grade to grade; from condition to condition; from pole to pole; from vibration to vibration. True Hermetic transmutation is a mental art. "

The Kybalion

Alchemy is the art of transmutation, or the process of mutating something into something better.

Mainly reference was made to Chemistry, as a close relative of this ancient art.

In reality, Alchemy is not the mere use of chemical materials and formulas, but allegorically, it represents the internal transformation of an individual during his journey.

Alchemical Art was born in Egypt as a Philosophy of Knowledge and as an application of this knowledge.

The word Alchemy derives from the term AL-KHEMIA: which literally means 'the'Black Art'.

If you are puzzled by the term, don't worry.

You must know, that the word Egypt is actually called AL - KHEM, (LA-TERRANERA).

Khem means Egypt on the one hand and Egypt on the other Black Earth (due to the Nile, which, overflowing at least once a year, left the black and fertile earth around.)

THE SEVEN HERMETIC PRINCIPLES

“The principles of Truth are seven; he who knows them, with understanding, possesses the magic key at whose touch all the doors of the temple suddenly open. "

The Kybalion..

II Hermetic Law: What is above is below, in the miracle of the fulfillment ofOne.

  • What is the above?

The cosmos, the stars, the firmament, the mansion of God, the immortal aspects, the cause below.

  • What is the below?

Earth, the mortal plane, the realm of materiality and manifestation, physical matter, the realm of creation. There reality 'that we can see, hear, breathe. There reality to which we react and interact with every day.

Over and under, Sky and earth , correspond and together create a unity: our experience as humans .

SAYS

Egyptian god of Know, ofArt, ofIntelligence, of the Language and the Communication (considered creator of writing), of Geometry, of the science, of the Magic, of the judgement and gods dead.
He is represented as a man with head of ibis. On some occasions, he brings a brush and a writing tablet, with which he notes his thoughts, words and deeds, to weigh them in his scales. Usually, it also carries the key to Life Egyptian theAnj , in one of the hands.

HERMES Trismegisto

Thoth, incarnated three times. (Trismegistus: three times as big). Hermes Trismegistus is mentioned in occult literature as the Egyptian sage, parallel to the god Thot, who created Alchemy and developed a metaphysical belief system now known as Hermetism. Alchemical writings such as the Smeraldina table- which was translated from Latin into English by Isaac Newton - and of philosophy, like the Corpus hermeticum.

MERCURY

The Roman Mercury, like the Greek Hermes, represent the same role and character of the Egyptian Thot,(as well as the Phoenician Taaut, the German Whotan, and so on across various cultures and human generations.)
In all cases, Hermes / Thot is the messenger some gods. It is the character who cit responds to the upper world as well as to the lower one, it corresponds to the ethereal as to the matter, it embodies the connection itself and the inseparable relationship between Heaven and Earth.
Has wings, fly, help men understand 'reality'.

Hermes Trismegistus: the thrice great

Hermes trismegistus is also a symbol of the inner Trinity of every living being, embodying all stages of existence:

  • Spiritual Existence (Above - Sky - Soul)
  • Psychic Existence (Mercury - Air - Mind / Spirit)
  • Bodily Existence (Below - Earth - Body).

In the emerald tables he leaves us written: < The Microcosm is thus created by the Macrocosm. >

(Meaning that the below is an 'effect' of the above.)

< When man smoothes his Soul and unites it to his Spirit, he realizes his original naturalness, his likeness to God. (...)work of the Sun. >

L'opera del Sole, or as the ancient Neapolitan songs say theArte do Sole, is the manufacture ofPhilosopher's Gold (or Philosopher's Stone), which is none other than man by smoothing his strengths and weaknesses, to reach the best version of himself and express and make good use of the Gold that is in his interior. Nietzsche called these types of men 'supermen', being misunderstood as much as the alchemists.

Basic ingredients

At the base of the Life of every single living being, (including animal, vegetable and mineral realms), the 'divine essence' is encoded in three parts identified with the hieroglyphic symbols that you can appreciate in the image.

  • The first is it Sulfur (Azufre) representing the Soul , the conscience is chemically reduced and transmutes into oil.
  • The second is the Mercury , which represents the Spirit , the Mind and that chemically reduced transmutes into Liquor.
  • The third is the Alkaline salt , which represents the Body , structured thinking and that you can find chemically reduced in all your kitchens.

How does Alchemy explain the Trinity?

The Body it is the physical manifestation of reality.

(Atoms, matter, forms that come together and build the 'structure' of our reality.)

The Body is the reflection of the above is an idea that gives structure to something abstract.

The Body is one reflection of the Mind.

Mind is a faculty of Consciousness.

Consciousness illuminates the Mind, which gives power to the structure (Body).

The Mind then colleague the top to the bottom, connects the Conscious to the Body.

So what is alchemy?

Alchemy explains how Consciousness relates to Matter, how the Above relates to the Below.

And how does it do it? Through the Mind (Mercury, Hermes)! Consequently it can be defined as the science of Mind and how it allows the higher and the lower to be one in our experience.
